Patterns in Nature
I went out roaming today with my new camera, partly to test drive it, partly to spend some time out in the sun in between patches of rain. There’s a lot of amazing scenery along the coast nearby but it was this brushy cluster that really caught my eye. Whenever i’m taking photos my eyes and mind are always racing around looking for interesting light, angles, textures and colours, often...

Wildlife Photographer of the Year
© Cyril Ruoso/Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2011
I just checked out the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the Australian Museum. It was inspiring as always and well worth a visit. However, I’ve been every year for as long as I can remember and always feel like i’m seeing the same images year after year. Nevertheless, it’s the 20% that are so unique and...

Celebrating the new studio!
Been flat out moving for the past few weeks, buried in boxes, but we’re finally settled into our new habitat by the beach so my new studio got it’s first workout today! Found this incredible orchid this morning thanks to Flo from Buds&Bowers in Surry Hills

Remembering 9/11
As we approach the 10 year mark of 9/11, it seems like a good time to share this photo (and the story behind it) with you in remembrance. It was taken from the top of one of the twin towers 13 days before they came down. I visited the towers on my first trip to NYC, purely because I had a free ticket to the viewing level and thought I might as well use it up and get a different perspective and...

The Shaman's Playground
A photography collaboration with my friend Omar Roxas from back in 2008, The Shaman’s Playground was a work that we created for a benefit exhibition at the Queen Street Studio in Sydney. It’s dark and haunting but it’s an image that I really connect with and I loved creating it

New photo series: Flora
More new shots in the native flora series. Growing up in the Blue Mountains I was always around both incredible scenery and amazing flora and it’s an interest that I have carried with me ever since. It’s a world away from most of my other work, especially the hip hop stuff, but it’s an interest that has never faded. Mother Nature really is an amazing designer!

Amazing fine art prints
I just got some more prints done and once again the guys at Pixel Perfect have done a stunning job. The colours are an absolute knockout and the black and whites are perfect. I love these guys, they’re so consistent and the quality is really impressive.
