Got a spare $8000 to splash?… Why a photographer needs to be $8K lighter to be able to shoot dedicated black&white photos is a pretty tough sell, but Leica being Leica they must be onto something?…

Anyone who’s been following the blog for a while now will be noticing a rollercoaster of different subject matter lately, from studio-based artworks, to food, landscapes and portraits. I’ve been busy mixing it up and loving it!
Recently I have had some great portrait commissions, including this national ad campaign for CanTeen, an Australian organisation for young people living with cancer, to promote their National Bandanna Day.
I got to work with some amazing young people and I’m very fortunate to have been able to contribute to such a great cause for a great organisation.

Check out the amazing work of my friends, photographer and stylist duo Petter Karlstrom and Leigh Dalton. The work speaks for itself, it’s just so evocative and beautiful and I would also like to congratulate these two on their recent engagement!

I just discovered the work of Karl Blossfeldt, an incredible and highly influential German botanist and flower photographer. His work is stunning, old photogravures of flowers that were very advanced for their time and really capture the amazing form of his subjects:

Here is a Youtube video that looks at his work in more detail, it’s well worth a look:
